Charitable
  Hippotherapy
  Supporting therapeutic equine centers

From the word 'hippos', the Greek word for horse,
the term "hippotherapy" literally means treatment or
therapy aided by a horse.

More often draped over a horse's back than upright
in the saddle, the unique heartbeat and locomotion
of a horse connects with the disabled participant,
providing a unique interaction and nurturing a sense
or partnership and allowance, perhaps in a way not
experienced before in a challenged life.

Our desire to focus support for hippotherapy providers
and the special families they serve is deep-rooted in
three fundamental life experiences:

A decade of camp counseling disabled kids & adults
A glorious & inspirational niece saddled with autism
A first-hand knowledge that "the best thing for the
inside of a man is the outside of a horse."

I am a member of a horseman's organization whose
charitable foundation supports hippotherapy providers
like Project R.I.D.E., and we seek out further
opportunities in this same spirit.
